A74 Fast Retailing Co., Ltd., which is expanding Uniqlo casual clothing outlets, has opened shops in New York and London; Onward Kashiyama Co., Ltd. has opened a shop in New York; and Narumiya International Co., Ltd., which produces clothes for young teenagers, has starred marketing its products in London.

These companies believe they cannot survive international competition unless they expand overseas.
