A53 Yes. In November 2006, PlayStation 3 (PS3) was launched by the SCE (priced at 49,980 yen). An advanced version of the PS3, equipped with a 60-gigabyte hard disc drive, also went on sale (no fixed price). In December of the same year, Nintendo launched its new videogame console Wii (priced at 25,000 yen). It has a remote control that differs from previously produced remote controls, in that it allows users to play games by shaking, pointing and twisting it, thereby creating new playing sensations.
